Damdinnyam, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resourcesreceived Guglielmo Picchi,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>President of SACE, the Italian Export Credit Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the beginning of the meeting, Guglielmo Picchi informed that SACE provides investment and financial guarantees to support Italian manufactures, particularly for their export and operating in foreign markets and SACE has a portfolio of $290 billion in issued guarantees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/mmhi.gov.mn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/viber_image_2026-05-21_11-42-35-668.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23631\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> He continued that Italy is the fourth largest exporter in the world following China, the US, and Germany, and the Italian Government prioritizes the processing industry, value-added products, and critical mineral processing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/mmhi.gov.mn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/viber_image_2026-05-21_11-42-35-637-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-23633\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Minister G. Damdinnyam noted that the draft amendment to the Law on Minerals, the main law of the minerals sector, has been recently discussed at the Cabinet meeting and is ready to be submitted to Parliament next week. He mentioned that no major changes have been made to the Law on Minerals since 2014, and currently there are four new reforms in the draft. It includes first, issuing exploration licenses in the form of tender-based, application-based and combined. Otherwise obtaining licenses will be simplified for investors while the practice of holding licenses without conducting geological operations will be gradually eliminated. Second, Mongolia, for the first time, defines the list of its Critical minerals and describes the way of cooperation with other countries in this field. Third, responsible for mining and fourth, management changes.
