Damdinnyam Gongor has been reappointed as theMinister of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia

Damdinnyam Gongor has been reappointed as the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources to continue serving in the newly formed Government led by Uchral Nyam-Osor, Prime Minister of Mongolia. In accordance with the law on the Government, he took the oath and received the Prime Minister’s decree on his appointment on April 4, 2026.

He states: “Over the past period, we have been trying to do our best and will continue to successfully implement our policy and priorities in the field of industry, geology, minerals and petroleum.

We will strive harder to achieve the tangible results from the assigned commitments focusing on re-opening Mongolia’s exploration sector to investors, increasing the processing capacity in the mining industry, implementing industrial projects and intensifying the completion of the oil refinery.”
