THE MINISTRY OF INDUSTRY AND MINERAL RESOURCES OF MONGOLIA WILL COOPERATE WITH THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN TO ENSURE SAFETY COMPLIANCE IN THE FIELD OF MINING AND INDUSTRY, AND GEOLOGICAL RESEARCH

Within the framework of the State Visit of H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, to Mongolia, B.Dashpurev, State Secretary of the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia, signed a Memorandum of Understanding  between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of Mongolia and the Service for State Supervision of Safe Work in Industry and Mining Supervision under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Under the MOU, the parties agreed to cooperate on ensuring safety in open-pit and underground mining operations, rectifying violations of mining safety legislation, improving mining requirements and standards, and exchange experience in innovation and digital technologies in industry and mineral resources inspections.

Furthermore, a “Memorandum of Understanding between the National Geological Survey of Mongolia and the Main Department of Geology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in the field of geological research ” was signed by N.Munkhbileg, Chair of the National Geological Survey. The parties agreed to establish cooperation in geological science, implement joint research and projects, capacity building, geological exploration, and use of modern technologies for geological maps.
